This incredibly simple recipe produces biscuits which no one can resist. You could spread butter or jam on it, it is all a matter of taste preferences, or put a slap of cheese, ham or bacon garnished with onion rings, golden brown fried garlic or just a smattering of minced basil, coriander green or chives on top.
90 g of spelt flour (Dinkel Mehl), sieve
add
1 pinch of salt
mix with
1 pinch of fine sugar
and
15 g sunflower seeds
as well as
15 g melon seeds, minced if desired
50 g butter.
Then add in
3 Tsp water. knead into a dough and
roll into a slap of about 0.5 cm thick.
Cut out discs of about 4-5 cm diameters
lay on a baking sheet on a baking tray
Bake for 10 minutes in a preheated oven of 180°C.
Enjoy them with your tea or coffee. Take them when you wanted a light lunch at the office with some salad. Pack them in a little box or glass paper bag as a gift when you go visiting. They are homemade, genuine and you know what you had put in.
